Staff Pick Wednesday – Associated Talents Easter Ornament Houses
With all of the winter finishing deadlines past us it’s time to start stitching your spring canvases. Today we have 2 canvases by Associated Talents that when they are finished will look like little holiday houses. The canvases were originally priced at $100 each but they are on sale today for $80 each. You can choose one or take them both. If you would like us to kit them for you, we will give you 10% off of the threads. These would make great holiday gifts for your children or grandchildren or just keep them for yourself. Get your finished stitching to us by 12/22/20 to ensure that you have them back in time for Easter.
Are you looking for something small that is self-finishing and can fit in your purse so you can take it along with you? Here are a few of the Alice Peterson needlepoint Stitch-ups that we have in stock. Each kit comes with a 14-mesh painted canvas, attached fabric back (for ornaments), threads, needles and instructions. Each kit cost $20. Give us a call if something catches your eye.
New Stitch Monday – Modified Mosaic Square Variations
Here is another great stitch I found while I was working on a stocking cuff. I wanted a stitch that was a little different than the Star Octagon but wanted something that still resembled a snowflake. As you can see from the diagram below there are several stitches that you can place in the center. I used Vineyard Silk for the main part of the stitch, shown in pink. For the centers I did cross stitches alternating between silver Kreinik and white Petite Sparkle Rays. That helped give it a little sparkle. If you like to bead you can add 4 beads into the center. However, you choose to use this stitch I am sure it will be great. Give it a try.

Staff Pick Wednesday – Julia’s Needlework
Vacation is over and we are back in the shop! Today we have this fantastic canvas from Julia’s Needlework. What a fun canvas for you to stitch for your child or grandchild. “Best Friends” would great framed, made into a pillow or made into a step stool.
