Cherish your wedding (or that of a loved one) with a custom ornament designed from your wedding bouquet.  The canvas is a 4-inch round on 18 mesh canvas.

After purchase you will receive an email with instructions on sending a photo and the specifications of your bouquet. You will receive a digital illustration for approval before the painting process begins. Please note that the illustration’s design and colors may be adapted during the painting process to ensure the best stitching experience.

Please allow 6 – 8 weeks for your canvas to ship. Each are individually designed hand painted.

Once you receive your ornament from her bring it to the shop and we can help you pick out threads, ribbons & other embellishments.

Who’s ready for the beach?  We could all use a day sitting on the sand listening to the ocean.  For today’s Staff Pick we have this great beach themed canvas with a variety of shells.   To add to the beauty of the canvas consider beading the coral with 2 or 3 different sized beads.  For the center shell do a variation of a wrapped stitched where you lay the straight stitches down with the darker brown thread then with the coordinating colored threads wrap the thread around each base line to give the shell a 3-D look.  We are pretty sure there is a name for the stitch but we just can’t find it.  This canvas is on sale today for $218.  If you would like us to kit it for you we will give you 10% off of the threads and embellishments. During the past few months of staying at home I have worked on several projects.  Two of the projects that I worked on was Raymond Crawford’s Hanukkah & Christmas designs that are exclusively for Ridgewood Needlepoint.   We have a few of the Christmas canvases in stock and once the world gets back to normal, we will be able to order the Hanukkah canvas.  If you are interested give the shop a call.

I found several new stitches to me that I really liked and have since used them on some of my personal canvases and will share them with you.  Today’s stitch is Double Brick with Accents.  For the body of the stitch, shown in yellow, I used Splendor but any thread can be used.  For the accent cross stitch, shown in green, I used a coordinating Neon Rays Plus.  For those of you who love adding beads to your needlepoint replace the cross stitch with a bead.  Give it a try.

We understand that everyone is ready to get back to what used to be normal and to be able to meet up and spend the afternoon stitching with their friends.  We feel the same way and are looking forward to being able to opening our doors and have the shop bustling again.

We have chosen to be extra cautious at the shop to help keep our staff and our customers safe.   For now, we will continue to monitor how the State of New Jersey is progressing with the continuing of flattening the curve of the virus.  When we feel more comfortable, we will begin loosening our current policy of having one customer in the shop at a time for 30 minutes.
