We all love Melissa Shirley canvases. For today’s special we have this adorable tea/coffee cup with daisies. Adrienne has pulled some threads that will bring this canvas to life. Originally priced at $153 now on sale for $123. Here are a few stitch suggestions that you can find in “Stitches to Go”. For the squares in the cup try the Rhodes stitch. Do the Brick stitch for the leaves. On half the leaf do the stitch vertically and on the other have do the stitch horizontally. Stitch the veins of the leaf last. French Knots for the center of the flowers. Continental stitch the petals with the Neon Rays. The T-Stitch would be great for the background. Give us a call and this little beauty can be yours.

It’s with heavy hearts that we have to announce the passing of Vanessa Holloschultz, owner of Ridgewood Needlepoint.  Vanessa died last Thursday, in her home surrounded by her loving family.  As many of you may have known, Vanessa has had a long battle with cancer.  She was always positive, energetic and had a love of life.  Her love of needlepoint helped make the shop our special place.  She will be missed by all of us.

For those wishing to make a donation in memory of Vanessa, the family has suggested making donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering or to any other charitable organization.

Ridgewood Needlepoint will continue to be open serving the needlepoint community.
