New Kate Dickerson Canvases

We just got in several fun Kate Dickerson canvases.  The mules & flip flops can really be jazzed up with beads, sequins and fuzzy threads.  The colors are so bright that will definitely put you in a good mood!   Consider stitching the black shoes in Neon Rays to give them that really shiny look.  Use an over-dyed thread for the sand.  Lots of great sand, water & sky stitches in the “Stitch Landscape” book.

The Tallis bag has potential for several different background stitches.   Consider using the Twisted Columns stitch that was featured in week 5 of the New Stitch Monday With a Twist.

 More fun canvases have arrived.  Raymond Crawford has designed several inspirational canvases and “expect miracles” is just perfect for the coming year.  The Meredith Collection has several holiday wreaths.  Each on is cuter than the next.  If you love sunflowers the Sandra Gilmore vase will be right up your ally.  Clutches seem to be the new thing and Anne Fisher has designed a very elegant canvas for your new clutch.  We also have some great ornaments from Canvas Works.  New Alice Peterson Canvases

What’s better than starting a new year?  Getting a new Alice Peterson canvas is!  We just got in several fun canvases.  If you thinking of summer the flip flop canvas is just what you need.   Jazz up those flip flops with some metallic thread.  If you are looking for a stitch for the sand, sky or the water “Stitch Landscape” is a great reference book.  For the sand try Sand 7 or Sand 10 using an over-dyed thread.   If you need help choosing threads and stitches just let us know and we will gladly assist you.  Just remember to make an appointment before coming to the shop.  Give us a call if something catches your eye!

 Staff Pick Wednesday

Do you have one of those doors that keeps slamming shut whenever you open a window or a door.  Well, we have this fun brick cover that can help stop that problem.   We have pulled threads that can help you get started but can give you some other suggestions.  Stitch the bushes using French Knots and if you want to add a little glitter use some Silk Lame Braid.  If you like using Very Velvet we can pick out some pink velvet threads for the pig.  The other option is to keep it simple and basketweave or tent stitch the entire canvas.    The canvas is on sale for $105 originally priced at $131.  Give us a call and this can be one of your next projects!

 New Associated Talents Canvases

If you looking for a new project, we just got some great Associated Talents canvases in at the shop.  There is a little something for everyone!

We have several music boxes that can be put into the baby sleeping canvases when they are finished as small pillows.  By adding some beads, sequins and metallic threads you can really make those Christmas trees come alive.  The bunnies would make great stand-ups.   Give us a call if something catches your eye!

We are happy to say that we are once again going to run our Resolution Stitching Program in 2021.  For those of you who are new, this is a great way to get you inspired to complete stitching 3 projects during 2021.

Between January 3^rd & January 31^st call or send us your list of the 3 items that you would like to get done in 2021 and sent out for finishing. You will receive 20% off of your finishing and 20% off of an in-stock canvas the day you bring in your project.   For our out-of-town customers we will give you a call to let you know we received your canvas and then you can let us know what canvas you may want.   Please note that framing is not included in this offer. Things are beginning to look up and we are looking forward to a great new year.

Beginning today, January 2^nd, we will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Please be sure to call and make your appointment.  If you are planning on stopping by today please give us a call so we can add you to our schedule.

As of right now we don’t have any finishing deadline schedules from our finishers.  We suggest that if you are planning on doing any holiday stitching which includes ornaments & stand-ups for Hanukkah or Christmas that you get those items to us between March and April.

We have gotten several notes from the designers informing us that there can be a 3 to 4 month wait for canvases that they do not have in stock.  Please keep that in mind if you see something let us know now so that we can order it for you.  This way you can have it by the spring.
