We just got in several fun Kate Dickerson canvases. The mules & flip flops can really be jazzed up with beads, sequins and fuzzy threads. The colors are so bright that will definitely put you in a good mood! Consider stitching the black shoes in Neon Rays to give them that really shiny look. Use an over-dyed thread for the sand. Lots of great sand, water & sky stitches in the “Stitch Landscape” book.
The Tallis bag has potential for several different background stitches. Consider using the Twisted Columns stitch that was featured in week 5 of the New Stitch Monday With a Twist.

New Stitch Monday With a Twist – Week 6
I am at the half way point on my Raymond Crawford “NEEDLEPOINT” canvas. I have to admit this has been a fun project and is helping me keep busy during these crazy times that we are living in. For this week’s stitch I choose the Arrowhead stitch. It is fairly simple and easy to compensate. I used Splendor S850 for the main part of the stitch, shown pink on diagram and Kreinik 127 (size 12), shown yellow on diagram for the accent stitches. If your canvas is 18 count use 4 strands of Splendor & 6 strands for 13 count canvas. You may also want to consider using size 16 for the Kreinik depending on the coverage you are looking for. You can use the Arrowhead stitch in small or medium areas.
Hopefully you can add this to your 21 new stitches for the 2021 Challenge. Give it a try!

What’s better than starting a new year? Getting a new Alice Peterson canvas is! We just got in several fun canvases. If you thinking of summer the flip flop canvas is just what you need. Jazz up those flip flops with some metallic thread. If you are looking for a stitch for the sand, sky or the water “Stitch Landscape” is a great reference book. For the sand try Sand 7 or Sand 10 using an over-dyed thread. If you need help choosing threads and stitches just let us know and we will gladly assist you. Do you have one of those doors that keeps slamming shut whenever you open a window or a door. Well, we have this fun brick cover that can help stop that problem. We have pulled threads that can help you get started but can give you some other suggestions. Stitch the bushes using French Knots and if you want to add a little glitter use some Silk Lame Braid. If you like using Very Velvet we can pick out some pink velvet threads for the pig. The other option is to keep it simple and basketweave or tent stitch the entire canvas.
