New Stitch Monday – Modified Mosaic Square Variations
Here is another great stitch I found while I was working on a stocking cuff. I wanted a stitch that was a little different than the Star Octagon but wanted something that still resembled a snowflake. As you can see from the diagram below there are several stitches that you can place in the center. I used Vineyard Silk for the main part of the stitch, shown in pink. For the centers I did cross stitches alternating between silver Kreinik and white Petite Sparkle Rays. That helped give it a little sparkle. If you like to bead you can add 4 beads into the center. However, you choose to use this stitch I am sure it will be great. Give it a try.
