New Stitch Monday – Medallion Stitch
The Medallion stitch is a great stitch for a background if you are looking for something on the simpler side to stitch but gives you that decorative look at the same time. Gretchen used it for the background of the USA canvas by Associated Talents. She used a solid thread for the main part of the stitch and to give it a little sparkle added a metallic thread for the Upright Crosses in the center of each medallion. I think this would be a great stitch to use just about anywhere on your canvas. Give it a try.
