I am currently working on the snowman from Labors of Love.  After looking through several of my books I realized that I didn’t want to go to crazy looking for the perfect stitch for the snow and I wanted to keep the stitching simple on this project.  The Hungarian stitch was perfect.  Using Petite Sparkle Rays, I achieved the look I was going for and I didn’t need to worry about the shading along the bottom of each part because the stitch allowed the blue to come through.  I did use a blue Petite Sparkle Rays for snow dots that are on the scattered around.  I also made some changes to the canvas and used heart buttons on the 2 sections.  This way I can leave this cutie out through Valentine’s Day.

We have this canvas, the Christmas tree & Mrs. Claus in stock.  We heard that there will be a Santa coming out some time in the Spring.

These 2 beauties just arrived in the shop.  Love, love, love the colors.   They will be so much fun to stitch.  I’m seeing lots of beads & metallic threads.  Give the shop a call and one or both can be yours!

Beginner’s Class

Is your New Year’s Resolution to learn something new?

Join our Needlepoint Beginner Class to learn the basic stitches and how to read needlepoint stitch diagrams.  This class will introduce you to several stitches allowing you to create a simple sampler featuring an initial of your choice.  The cost of supplies and class is $175.

The classes will be held on Saturday, January 25, February 8 and February 29^th from 10:30 to 12:30 AM.

This is a great opportunity for you to work on some the pieces that you are trying to finish or you can browse around the shop for something new.

We are very excited to announce that we have 2 exclusively designed canvases by Raymond Crawford.  One for Hanukkah and one Christmas.

The canvases measure 9 ½ by 9 ½ on 18 count canvas.  Lots of finishing potential.  Some of the ideas are to have it finished and placed in a Lucite or Sudberry tray, finish as a pillow, standup or a hanging banner.

Stephanie will be designing the stitch guides.  The cost of the canvas is $120 plus shipping and the price of the thread kit is to be determined once the canvases arrive which will be sometime in March.  There is no charge for the stitch guide if you purchase the canvas and threads.

We will also be able to offer the canvases in 13 count.  The delivery date for 13 count canvases will be sometime in April.
