Ridgewood Needlepoint is pleased to announce that Laura Taylor of Aristeia Needlepoint Store in California will be teaching in our store!
Canvas Embellishment Class
October 13 and 14, 2018
Purchase a needlepoint at Ridgewood Needlepoint by March 31, 2018 and we will send it off to Laurawho will use her creativity and 18 years of teaching experience to select the perfect stitches and threads. Laura will work her magic on 5-6 areas of your canvas, please note a full stitch guide will not be provided. For a full stitch guide Laura suggests looking at the list below.
Spend a lovely weekend creating a masterpiece, learning new skills and meeting new friends.
Limit for class is 10 people, so sign up early!
Class from 10 AM until 4 PM.
Cost for class is $350, which includes a morning coffee break. Plan to bring or purchase your own lunch.

Laura’s Favorite Stitches
Laura’s go-to stitches, but not the basic ones. These are the stitches that make their way onto almost every canvas, but sometimes you would never know it. By changing the threads and weight of the stitch they become completely different and give a brand new visual effect. These will become some of your favorites, too. I guarantee it!

In the Back but Never Boring
Never wanting to detract from the focal point of your canvas, the background plays the important role of supporting the stitched design. Done right, it enhances and pulls together all of the other elements on the canvas. This class features stitches that can be fabulous open stitches but once you change up the threads they go from open stitches to full coverage. You just might find that your beautiful background looks pretty fantastic in the foreground, too.
1 PM – 4 PM
Limit 15 students.
Cost $100 for class only
Laura’s students report she is friendly, patient, creative and a hands- on teacher.
When signing up please make sure to indicate what class, date and time you are registering for.
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required for the embellishment class and a non-refundable $50 is required for the half day classes.
