Stitcher of the Month
Meet Cynthia Sauder
Our December Stitcher
Cynthia was taught needlepoint when she was a little girl. Her mom showed her how to stitch but the real push came when Adrienne Peloso asked her to go stitching one afternoon four years ago. If the name sounds familiar that is because she was last month’s stitcher. Yes, they are friends, and yes, they stitch together weekly. Since then Cynthia has retired and this is what she loves doing in her spare time. Cynthia doesn’t have a favorite artist but she is always stitching something with a southwestern theme. Big or small she stitches it. Cynthia also loves giving needlepoint as gifts. Whether it’s finished or a brand new canvas that has been kitted up with threads and accessories. Her favorite stitch is the Nobuko stitch. She stores her threads in a file cabinet, sorted by color and thread type. Cynthia also admits that she has too many needlepoint canvases to count (don’t we all). Cynthia is always smiling always happy, and always a pleasure to have in the shop.
